Andreas Kurtsson (b. 1975) lives in Malmö, is originally from the southeast of Sweden (Småland) and was educated at Umeå Art Academy. In his artistic practice, he is interested in how human experiences of everyday phenomena can contain aspects of the fantastic; the production of meaning; productive misunderstandings and the human relation to technology. Kurtsson has previously exhibited at Inter Arts Center (Malmö), Bonniers Konsthall (Stockholm), Skellefteå Konsthall and Galleri Box (Gothenburg) and done performances in Sweden as well as internationally. He has also performed and released music under the alias All Spec Kit and been a member of the editorial staff of the sound art magazine Laika (2000–2008).

Arts and Musics revolves around music from a visual artist’s perspective. Around the experience of music, its materiality and preconditions. It also deals with how those involved in a specific field bring their own ways of doing things, when entering another field. In the exhibition, a new film about that exact experience is presented, along with sound pieces, enlarged run over CD-r discs and a nineties music festival condensed into the shape of a tent.
