This Saturday, sound artist Per Svensson releases his new album on the Malmö-based record label Eter. This will be celebrated with an afternoon concert at KRETS! The album – The Forces of Nature & The Butterfly Effect – is a continuation of his installation in the exhibition Botanic Sounds II in Gothenburg (2009), in which he explored the butterfly effect and the dynamics of nature.
About Per Svensson:
Born in 1965 in Gothenburg and has a long history within performance-, installation- and sound art. Svensson’s work often deals with themes such as the unknown, alchemy and the ecological interaction between human and nature. He has been exhibited at e.g. L.A.C.E. (Los Angeles), Heliosturm (Cologne), The Modern Museum of Art (Stockholm), The Gothenburg Museum of Art (Gothenburg) and Lusaka National Museum (Zambia).
Malmö-based record label with a focus on contemporary sound art, electron music and various experimentalia. With an aim to let the sound pieces extend into the physical room, Eter releases handmade records in limited editions.
