Moses can’t handle it anymore. After a long period of hanging out with the wrong kind of people, Moses looses ground one night at the bar. His world is slowly filled with darkness and without directions or goals, he gets lost in the woods. The story of Moses is a story about being lost and on thin ice. About screaming without being able to make a sound. About anxiety and panic attacks. About escaping it all, and to make it to a home that was never there in the first place. It is a strong story and there is a relief in the unrestrained darkness. Everything is let out on thick black surfaces, but the darkness feels soft and safe.

Rymma hem is Eva Björkstrand’s first graphic novel, and has a preface by Martina Lowden. Previous releases are Lokal Dimma (Kolik Förlag, 2011) and Kioskvältaren (Kartago, 2006). Eva Björkstrand has studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and Valand Academy in Gothenburg. Hand-numbered and signed screen prints will be included with every purchase of the book this evening. Welcome!
